The Senior Project Officer (SPO) – Environments for Health contributes to the health promotion capacity of VicHealth by working to create health environments that improve wellbeing and promote active lifestyles by:
- Supporting and managing funded partners to develop, deliver and evaluate environments that improve the health and wellbeing of communities;
- Supporting the development of strategies focusing on a range of settings including sport, the built environment and natural settings which address factors that affect participation, health and wellbeing;
- Contributing to work relating to the integration of community health and wellbeing practices into the planning and design of new communities;
- Contributing to the identification, development and maintenance of relevant and innovative topics, projects, partners and stakeholders to drive systematic change that support health promoting behaviors across VicHealth’s key strategic areas.
