Chief Executive Officer
Jerril Rechter, CEO
Jerril Rechter is the CEO of VicHealth. She has extensive experience in leadership across the areas of government and not-for-profit sectors.
Jerril is a World Health Organization Advisor, a board member of the International Network of Health Promotion Foundations, a member of Victoria’s Justice Health Ministerial Advisory Council and a member of the Liquor Control Advisory Council. She regularly presents at state, national and international conferences and events to share her experiences in health promotion, leadership, and the potential of innovations to improve health and wellbeing for everyone.
She has served on various state and national boards and committees, including VicHealth's, as Board Member from 2004 to 2010. Her Ministerial appointments have included the Victorian Eating Disorders Taskforce, Australia Day Committee Victoria, Australia Council for the Arts Deputy Chair Dance Board, Arts Tasmania Board, Brand Tasmania Board and the Community Leaders Group Tasmania.
Jerril is a recipient of a Centenary Medal, Tasmania Day Award, and Fellowships from the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust, Australia Council, Harvard Club of Australia, the Australian Davos Forum-Future Summit, and Williamson Community Leadership Program (Leadership Victoria).
Jerril holds a Master of Business Leadership from RMIT University.
Jerril has held executive positions at Leadership Victoria, Melbourne International Festival of the Arts, Footscray Community Arts Centre, and founded Stompin Youth Dance Company.

Dr Bruce Bolam
Dr Bruce Bolam
Executive Manager, Programs Group
Bruce has extensive experience in health promotion policy and programs and has worked in government, non-government, university and healthcare organisations. Bruce holds a PhD in addition to master degrees in public health and psychological science.
He is a Fellow of the Faculty of Public Health of the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom and an Honorary Senior Fellow in the School of Population Health at the University of Melbourne. He is currently the President of the Victorian Branch of the Public Health Association of Australia.
Executive Manager, Marketing and Communications
Kerry has extensive experience in marketing and communications across a diverse range of sectors including government, infrastructure, consultancy, and not-for profits.
Areas of focus in her previous roles have included childcare policy, women’s health, disability, ageing, community services development, sustainability and water. Kerry’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Business Communications, Queensland University of Technology, and Bachelor of Arts, Politics and Media, Griffith University.
Executive Manager, Corporate Services Group
Dale joined VicHealth in April 2012, coming from the Southern Metropolitan Cemeteries Trust where he was General Manager, Finance and Business Services. During his career of nearly 20 years, Dale has been a Chief Financial Officer and was also responsible for portfolios such as risk management and information technology, which has included a major implementation of key management information and financial systems.
He is a Certified Practicing Accountant and has a strong understanding of the Victorian legislative framework. His government experience includes working with the Victorian Auditor-General’s Office. Dale is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and volunteered on the Board of a not-for-profit organisation providing care to severely disabled persons.
Lead, Innovation Office
Nick has had a career spanning a number of sectors and industries. A qualified professional engineer, he has worked in diverse areas such as construction management, IT development, management consulting, and the formation and execution of business strategy in private and government organisations.
Nick joined VicHealth in March 2009 and has undertaken different roles throughout his tenure.
Acting Lead, Policy Development Office
Sue has a Bachelor of Arts in Recreation Management, a Masters in Public Policy and Management from Melbourne University and is a member of the YMCA Victoria Board of Directors.
Sue has over 15 years experience in sport management across government and the community sector. She most recently worked at Sport and Recreation Victoria as the Manager Sport Programs and was responsible for managing relationships and funding with more than 80 State Sporting Associations, the Victorian Institute of Sport and the Australian Sports Commission. Sue is committed to working with sports to drive positive social change and create more opportunities for participation for diverse members of the community.
Sue is the Manager of the Healthy Environments program at VicHealth. This role includes strategically coordinating VicHealth’s work in sport, working with local government and the planning sector to create healthier places and spaces, partnering with key agencies to create healthier communities outcomes and through this work ensuring the healthy choice becomes the easy choice.
