Projects

VicHealth contributes funding to The Parents Jury, a web-based network of parents who wish to improve the physical environments for children in Australia. It gives parents a forum to voice their views on children's food and physical activity issues, and to collectively advocate for the improvement of children’s food and physical activity environments. 

Policy submissions

VicHealth's recent policy submissions in the area of healthy eating include:

• A response to the Victorian Competition and Efficiency Commission's issues paper on the Review of Victorian Food Regulation (Feb 2007)
• Parliamentary inquiry into body image among young people and the associated effects on their health and wellbeing (September 2004)
• Food and Nutrition Monitoring and Surveillance System (Discussion Paper 2005)
