Health promotion is a powerful and cost effective way to maintain a healthier community. It enables people to increase control over and improve their health.

VicHealth research grants

VicHealth is in the final 12 months of our current Strategic Plan. It has therefore been decided that 2012/2013 will be a transition budget for VicHealth, when we will only maintain our existing funding commitments whilst beginning the development of the organisation’s next Strategic Plan.

We will not advertise any new research project funding rounds during this time, including the ARC linkage, NHMRC Partnership, NHMRC CRE, CRC, Research Practice Fellows or the Innovation funding round. The Conference Support Scheme will also not be conducted.

A Social Marketing Research Fellowship will be advertised in July 2012, this is the only exemption from the above

Research remains a key priority for VicHealth and we will be working collaboratively with our stakeholders over the next 12 months as the CEO and VicHealth Board develop VicHealth’s next Strategic Plan.
