Australian children are bombarded with about 2200 junk food ads on TV per year. That's about 18 hours worth of ads promoting obesity-inducing food - the equivalent of three full school days devoted to promoting unhealthy eating habits.

Today, the Cancer Council launched an on-line campaign to hit back. At  www.burgercorp.com.au, you can view our 35-second clip exposing food marketing to kids.

Parents want their kids to eat healthily, yet they have to compete with the country's top ten food companies who pump more than $375M annually into food marketing. The Federal Government attempts to promote healthy lifestyle messages, but is outspent by the food industry six to one on marketing.

The www.burgercorp.com.au website also allows parents to send a simple email to the Minister for Health, Nicola Roxon, and the Senators from your State.
