VicHealth is interested in supporting other organisations that are facilitating knowledge transfer in the field of health promotion and public health. Through the Conference Support Scheme VicHealth provides limited support to conferences by other providers.

Who can apply?
Applications will be accepted from not-for-profit community groups and organisations, local government, educational institutions and non-government organisations that:
- are based in Victoria and whose activities take place in Victoria
- have satisfactorily acquitted all previous grants from VicHealth
- submit applications in accordance with specified timelines and processes.

About the Conference Support Scheme
VicHealth is committed to strengthening its knowledge acquisition and knowledge sharing capacity. It considers education, training and information dissemination as part of an overall knowledge transfer process.
VicHealth is also interested in supporting other organisations that are facilitating knowledge transfer in the field of health promotion and public health. Through the Conference Support Scheme VicHealth provides limited support to conferences by other providers.
Objectives
The objectives of the Conference Support Scheme are to:
1. To foster knowledge exchange in health promotion in the VicHealth priority areas
2. To strengthen networks within and across sectors
3. To support the acquisition of knowledge and skills
4. To promote sustainable outcomes through production of resources and dissemination of conference outcomes
How much funding is available?
In 2009, VicHealth will provide a maximum grant of up to $10,000. This is a competitive scheme with an increasing number of applications being received for each round.

How to apply
Applications close 5:00pm Monday 19 October 2009. Late applications will not be accepted.
Applications must be submitted on the Application Form provided by VicHealth and they must be submitted by email as Word documents to conferencesupport@vichealth.vic.gov.au
Attachments and other information faxed or mailed to VicHealth separately will not be accepted.
All applications will be acknowledged by return email. Offers will be made early December 2009.
