Towards active and independently mobile children report-coverDespite clear evidence of the fundamental health benefits to children who undertake regular physical activity, research has found a dramatic decline in children walking to school on their own. In examining the results of three literature reviews and two independent surveys, this report provides evidence of Victorian community attitudes to active travel for children and raises a number of areas for consideration to increase children’s active transport.
