The Lead, Risk Management reports directly to the Manager, Planning and Business Improvement, and works within our Corporate Services Group, responsible for maximising VicHealth’s operational performance.

This exciting senior level opportunity will have a specific focus on managing, monitoring and administering all aspects of risk management at VicHealth.  
You’ll be kept busy being the 'go to' for VicHealth related risk management, contract, and procurement queries.

Day-to-day responsibilities include providing procurement and grant advice, reviewing contracts and funding agreements, updating and maintaining various risk registers, as well as developing regular and timely reporting systems. 

You will also be responsible for developing and facilitating various training activities, and being a primary point of contact for Board, and Finance Audit & Risk committee enquiries.

Working in a role that is purpose driven, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a variety of health promotion topics spanning VicHealth’s imperative and cross imperative areas. 

We are looking for someone who can build strong relationships, has exceptional problem solving, collaboration, communication, and technical skills.

Remuneration: $87,802-$109,231 (plus superannuation and other benefits) 

Qualifications and experience required: 

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in a contracts/commerce/law field
  • Strong demonstrable experience in risk management, contract management/administration and procurement
  • Experience with a Risk Wizard or an established Risk Management system
  • Experience with Salesforce or an established CRM system preferred
  • Experience working within an organisation that administers grantmaking activities
  • Strong experience working in project and contract management 
  • Exceptional relationship management experience, both internal and external 
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working in a government organisation although not essential would be considered advantageous
