Fresh, colourful fruit is nature’s gem, and has been a go-to snack long before sugary treats were aimed at kids.

It is so simple – just pick your kids’ favourite combinations and freeze them overnight. They’ll be delicious at school the next day once they start to slowly thaw out.

Here are some different fruits you can include:

  • Oranges
  • Pineapple
  • Grapes
  • Strawberries
  • Raspberries
  • Blueberries

Method

  1. Chop up oranges and pineapple (or any other larger fruit)
  2. Put combinations of fruits in Tupperware and freeze overnight.
  3. The next morning, they’ll be ready to pop into the school bag for a tasty treat.

Tip – Choosing fruits in season will be cheaper and tastier. If you don’t have fresh fruit, keep some frozen fruit on hand so it’s ready to go.
