With Term 1 kicking off around Victoria, it's a great time to start building some healthy habits that kids can use throughout the year!

We know it's important for our kids to get the minerals and vitamins their growing bodies need. And that kids are more likely to eat their veggies if they help cook them.

So grab your mini chefs and encourage them to fill their lunchboxes with a rainbow of different vegetables  it'll help them learn how to prepare delicious, nutritious meals to keep them going throughout 2023 and beyond!

Colourful veggies with hummus or an alternative low-salt dip is a quick and affordable school (or office!) snack. They are delicious and packed full of nutrients to give your health a boost.

Involve your kids in careful washing and chopping of veggies and let them pack some of their lunch box snacks.

Here are some ideas for different types of veggies you can include:

  • Celery
  • Carrots
  • Capsicum
  • Cucumber
  • Snow peas
  • Cherry tomatoes

Raw vegetables are nice and cool to munch on during the summer, and they're great for keeping little tummies full.
