Between 2019 and 2020 VicHealth presented a huge new funding opportunity for a diverse range of organisations to propel community wellbeing and health promotion initiatives into unchartered territory.

Applications for the first round of VicHealth Partnership Grants, offered a multi-million-dollar funding pool.

VicHealth knows there are a range of organisations who share its vision to improve the health and wellbeing of the Victorian community. The Partnership Grants were designed to make it easier for organisations to access the funding they need to drive outcomes that directly contribute to this shared vision.

In future there will be two major grant funding opportunities each year for VicHealth funding opportunities. You’ll be given plenty of notice about relevant upcoming opportunities, so you can spend more time planning strategic partnerships and delivering grant activities, and less time writing the grant applications.

The opportunities listed at the bottom of this page are open as part of the first round of VicHealth Partnership Grants.

Note: if your organisation has been affected by recent bush fires and you require assistance to complete your application, please get in touch with the team at [email protected] to discuss your circumstances.

  • Who can apply?

Organisations that are passionate about achieving better health and wellbeing outcomes in Victoria are encouraged to get involved.

We invite all kinds of organisations to consider how they might access VicHealth Partnership Grants through innovative partnerships with organisations who qualify as official funding recipients. By the same token we invite organisations who qualify as funding recipients – including local councils, research institutions or community sporting clubs – to think outside the box and consider who they could partner with to deliver the best possible outcomes for Victorians.

VicHealth is committed to health equity, that is, enabling all Victorians to have the means to a good and healthy life, regardless of cultural background, gender, sexual orientation, disability, income, educational attainment, occupation or location. Grant applications that apply a health equity lens will be considered favourably.

VicHealth encourages diverse organisations, including those who work with disability communities, LGBTIQ communities, culturally and linguistically diverse communities and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, to investigate the grants on offer and think laterally about forging funding partnerships with eligible organisations.
