Tania King from the University of Melbourne was awarded a VicHealth scholarship in 2009. Tania’s research aimed to document the role of the built environment in promoting or discouraging physical activity. In particular, Tania’s research has explored ways in which destinations (transport, food shopping, education, community services) encourage walking in local neighbourhoods.

Tania and colleagues published this paper in the International Journal of Behavioral Nutrition and Physical Activity in 2012.
