The workplace is an important setting for promoting equal and respectful relationships.

Workplaces have a positive role in influencing employee health and wellbeing, and can also promote healthy and respectful cultures in the broader community.
VicHealth is developing workplace programs to promote non-violent, equitable and respectful relationships between men and women.

Creating Healthy Workplaces program

VicHealth’s Creating Healthy Workplaces Program partners with Victoria’s foremost researchers, business and industry to promote health and prevent illness. The program is funding 5 large-scale pilot projects in Victorian workplaces to develop and test solutions for promoting good health and preventing chronic disease.
The preventing violence against women project is a partnership between the Australian Research Centre in Sex, Health and Society and the YMCA.
It is developing and trialling strategies that promote equal relationships between men and women, increase women’s representation and leadership in the workplace and create a positive, respectful and equitable culture and working conditions.
