As many of us start making Christmas lists and checking them twice, it’s worth thinking of the gift that will keep on giving: health.
Instead of chocolates, wine or video games, why not invest in a frisbee, a kite or a cricket set for little kids and big kids to enjoy in the great outdoors?
There are so many ways to get a little more physical activity into your day during the holiday season and it doesn’t have to be a chore. Dust off the bicycles and go for a little ride. Take a leisurely stroll around your neighbourhood. Plan a bushwalk. Find a special place together as a family.
Christmas is also a great time to disconnect from the working world and focus on family and friends. Sometimes the greatest gift of all can be time. Plan to get away from the glaring screens that dominate our lives and get out for some fresh air together. You’ll feel better for it!
