Gymnastics Victoria CEO Jamie Parsons and VicHealth today launched a new online and club-based physical activity program for women, Move My Way.

Move My Way is funded through VicHealth’s Changing the Game: Increasing Female Participation in Sport program, where Gymnastics Victoria and five other state sporting associations are encouraging women and girls to become more physically active, while championing the important role women play in sports’ leadership and management.

Move My Way is different to every other activity program – here’s how:

  •  Women can choose how they learn movement, either by following online video instructions in their own time or by participating at a local club.
  • The program addresses participation barriers among inactive women such as cost, time and motivation.
  • The online instructional videos break down activities so everyone can start moving and feel a sense of achievement – regardless of their fitness level.
  • Move My Way is the first step towards a more active lifestyle.

Interviews can be arranged with Gymnastics Victoria, VicHealth and gymnastics clubs running the pilot club program in Victoria.
