The National Heart Foundation is seeking an Advanced Public Health Trainee for a STP funded position based at the National Heart Foundation and VicHealth. This position will shared across both training organisations.

There is considerable scope to negotiate the projects and programs that the trainee will be involved in. Both organisations have wide ranging activities in the area of social determinates of disease, Aboriginal Health, rural and culturally diverse populations. 
  

There is also the opportunity to participate in preventive health, health service, health policy, guideline development and public health research in these organisations. 

The opportunity will be made available for experience in public health advocacy and media during the time of the placement. 

Whilst this position is based in Melbourne, depending on the activities undertaken there is ample opportunity to be involved in rural programs.

Full time salaried: as per the STP criteria
