Access to nutritious and affordable food is a key determinant of achieving health equality and closing the gap in life expectancy between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians.

Evidence is lacking on successful interventions to address this issue for urbanised Aboriginal people across Australia. This research will use participatory action research, and provide relevant training involving the Aboriginal participants in the entire process including setting agendas, data gathering and analysis.
