  • Focus on translation of research knowledge into policy and practice
  • Senior role in our Research and Impact team, contributing to long-term and meaningful change and impact
  • Brand new bright offices in Melbourne CBD featuring amazing collaboration spaces, and hybrid working model

VicHealth is the world’s first health promotion foundation. Established by the Victorian Parliament in 1987, we were the first agency of our kind worldwide to utilise a hypothecated tax on tobacco to support independent, long-term, evidence-based health promotion practice, partnerships and leadership. We continue to be a global leader in health promotion, as a Collaborating Centre with the World Health Organization and as a technical partner to UNICEF.

The Lead, Research and Impact reports directly to the Manager, Research and Impact, and will work across the organisation, and externally to support the delivery of our research strategy.

Using your holistic view of research management, you will be responsible for leading our teams in commissioning research and translating research knowledge into policy and practice.

You’ll be responsible for leading the development of training modules and sector development capacity building activities.

With a focus on linking people, stakeholders, and groups together, you’ll also help supervise and lead our fellows and fellowship program.

You will develop and maintain excellent relationships across the organisation, and with key external stakeholders, including staff in research institutions and other partner organisations.

You will possess impressive experience in research/project management, and you’ll easily demonstrate the ability to manage multiple and competing demands.

VicHealth is committed to ensuring appointments represent the diversity of our community. Women, Indigenous people, people with disability, young people, LGBTIQ+ people and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
