About Top Spin

Who: 

  • By: VicHealth in partnership with youth organisations and universities  
  • For: Victorian young adults aged 18-29 years 

What: Top Spin was a state-wide competition which inspired young Victorians to develop their own creative communications showing what doesn’t sit right with them about alcohol industry tactics. Each week, one entry was awarded a $1000 cash prize.  

When: 2018 – 2019.

Where: Across Victoria 

Why: Young people are drinking less alcohol than previous generations, making them a voice for change. Top Spin encouraged young Victorians to have their say and raised awareness sneaky tactics used by the alcohol industry to influence them to drink.
