Body

Power to our young people

Young Victorians have the potential to create real change for better, but it’s up to all of us to help them stand up and speak up. Together with Victorian councils, we’re amplifying their voices, ideas and experiences to create a healthier future for all our young people. One where they can grow up active, healthy and connected to their community.

It’s about finding fresh perspectives

By starting healthy conversations, we can all work together on creative solutions to the issues that impact our young people – especially those that face more barriers to good health and wellbeing.

We work in collaboration with local government peak bodies and partner with health promotion experts to provide the best outcome for Victorian councils. Our partners include: Victorian Local Governance Association, Municipal Association of Victoria, Deakin University and La Trobe University – among many others.

Working with councils

Over the coming years, we’ll partner with fast-track councils to help bring our young people’s ideas to life. We’ll provide the councils with a series of health promotion modules – the building blocks for effective change – that will help them act on these ideas and initiatives.
